A harpsichord makes precise notes. Crisp so that everyone can be heard separately.

Some music pieces require this so that the music can be understood and enjoyed.

A piano lets the notes blend and create a fluid experience that is about more than just the notes: It creates a new layer of enjoyment in which the individual notes disappear.

I tend to get fixated on my message to be as crisp as a harpsichord. Which denies the possibly of new layers of awareness.
