Delightful surprise

It this way humans are delightfully odd: To be surprised an expectation has to remain unmet.

There are two ways to remain unsurprised: Apathy, or an attitude of complete openness to what could happen.

Neither exists in the extreme.
And we remain surprised, delightfully so.
