One chef, an expert in making an omelette.
Another chef is observing his technique and notices what is not being said: He asks how warm the pan needs to be. The omelette expert always just knew when that pan was the right heat.
It took another expert to notice what was missing, and make visible what was already there.
For the rest of us: A small layer of water in the pan until it has cooked away. That is how warm the pan needs to be.
