A time ago, the first question you would ask anyone you meet is "who are you"?
It was the polite question. The question through which you can make sense of how you were related, by learning who you knew in common.
Now, we ask "what do you do?". It serves the same need, that of being polite and learning something seemingly important from another.
I am going back to "who are you".
And I ask it, because I want to know who you are.
